This sweet, mustard colored Victorian Bungalow was built for the Salbide family between 1904 and 1906 and believed to have been initially built as rental property. The home has a wrap-around front porch, two original front doors with stained glass and porch decking which was hand-painted by Debbie Pitts. Other lovely features of this home include the original metal roof, five fireplaces – all with distinctive mantels, and a very unique pull-down oil chandelier in the formal living room. The family room was originally an open porch that features a fireplace built with bricks from the original Newnan Middle School. The hall bath, added in the 1970’s, has the original claw-foot tub. The master bathroom has a very unique child’s bathing sink. With the exception of the family room, all rooms have 12” ceilings, picture molding, and pine floors. Renovating this home has been a labor of love since the Pitts purchased the home in 2012. Renovations during the past include, two walls of custom-built bookshelves in added the home’s nook, upgrades to the kitchen, including new ceiling tiles, along with a new side deck. Several Pieces of artwork and photography seen throughout the home are works by the homeowners, other family members, and beautiful original works by local artist, Martin Pate.
