Built in the 1850's, this home features several different architectural styles of the time. The original home is thought to have been a Plantation Plain design with a two-over-two floor plan. The home went through major renovations and expansion in 1881 after it was purchased by Frank M. Arnall, a successful Newnan merchant. In 1884, the home was sold to Mrs. Mary B.E. Arnold and remained in the Arnold family until 1918 when it was sold to John and Malvia Nixon. The Nixon's raised their three children in the home. It remained in the Nixon family for 60 years. In 1993, Paul and Susan Conlan purchased the house from McEwan and Deede Mandell. They fell in love with the spaciousness and simplicity of the home and thought it the perfect place to raise their three children. The Conlan home was sold to the current owners, Stan Topol and Brooks Martin in 2016. Stan, an interior designer, also fell in love with the home after stepping foot into the foyer. Although the home has undergone major renovations, the historical integrity of the house remain intact. Stan's professional eye envisioned a home that was comfortable and not "over-done" The kitchen and bathrooms underwent total renovations. A beautiful sunroom that serves as the casual dining area was added, as well as, an inviting back porch. The master bathroom has heated floors and is designed to be handicapped accessible, should the need ever arise. The unique bi- level upstairs features three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a studio. Upon stepping up on the front porch, you will see and feel that Stan accomplished what he envisioned and felt when he first walked through the door of this well-loved house.
